AGORO NE OBRA PA
ANOPA is an acronym for Agoro Ne Obra PA, which in the local language Twi means "Play for a better life". The project was launched in Cape Coast in 2010 based on a cooperation between the Sports Youth NRW, Germany and Ghana.
ANOPA builds on the enthusiasm of young people for sports and encourages them to take a serious look at socially relevant issues. It equally aims at the development of structures and networks within the sport community in the country particularly in the Central Region of Ghana
PLAY FOR A BETTER LIFE
To make dreams come true a strong team is needed. That's why a group of former volunteers founded "Sport 4 Development e.V. " (S4D e.V.) in 2016, which is ANOPA's partner organization in Germany .
The NGO became necessary after the sports association of NRW ended the partnership with ANOPA towards the end of 2015. S4D e.V. recruits volunteers, runs projects with ANOPA and is a partner to help and keep one of the most successful NGOs in West Africa running.
